Playing with Texture

So we recently decided to revamp our living area. We live in a townhouse and purchased it about 4 years ago. When we moved in it had already been painted a dark mocha/rusted/puke color. It was great (insert sarcasm). I never loved it and it felt so dark and confining but with having all three floors  painted this color I seriously procrastinated repainting it all. Finally after 3 years of living with said color we decided to paint... and by "we" I mean "my husband". The truth is, I think he got tired of hearing me complain so away "we" went. It's been super fun to re-decorate the place (after the painting was finished of course) and in the process of it all I really got a feel for my likes and dislikes in my home. Texture is a huge like for me and whether its incorporating some velvet material into your couch pillows or a few wooden candle holders on a fireplace mantle I found out how much it brings visual interest into the home. Below are a few examples of things that add mega texture to any home.

1. Mongolian Toss Cusion - $69
2. Spencer Pillar Holder - $12.99
3. Mariposa Floor Lamp Birch - $199 (Z Gallerie)
4. Versa Bowl - $39 (Z Gallerie)
5. Pouf Ottoman Morroco Etsy version here or Overstock version here
6. Faux Python Tray - $55.00
7. African JuJu Hat
8. Chunky Weave Chair - $399 (West Elm)
9. Martini Side Table - $129 (West Elm)

Lovin' your blog! I totally agree with you about texture! I recently made some wool juju's because I loved the texture of the real ones, but not the price! You can check those out on my etsy site! or read the tutorial on my blog. Cheers! Rosa
