O'verlays by Danika Cheryle LLC

I absolutely adore these overlays that I heard about last week!! How cute are these? Totally affordable, super practical and they can turn any piece from blah to fab!! You can literally turn a cheap simple ikea dresser into a chic piece you would find in the trendiest boutiques.. AND they are easy to apply with tons of different sizes and patterns.. Is there anything more you can ask for? I didn't think so.. LOVE.

I can see clearly now...

This is a trend that I totally can get behind. Living in a townhouse doesn't offer me a ton of space so when I was looking for a coffee table the last thing I needed was a big chunky piece of furniture to make my already-small-space seem smaller. We finally decided to go with the glass Thilde Coffee Table from Urbanbarn and I was so happy with our choice. The room still felt spacious and uncluttered.

Clear furniture offers a spacious and uncluttered feel because it doesn't take up much visual space. It also added more of a modern and sleek feel to our place. The only downside? cleaning up the 20 little fingerprints that my cuties leave behind.. Yup! didn't think about that one :) oh well, it's well worth it.

I'm loving all these clear pieces below..

1. Jupiter Chandelier 2. Structure Candle Holder 3. Mystic Round Back Arm Chairs 4. Format Tray 5. Acrylic Stool Set 6. Bourgie Table Lamp in Crystal Clear 7. Peekabook Clear Coffee Table 8. Peekabook Clear Nesting Tables 9. Honeycomb Clear Acrylic Chairs

Floral Paradise

I am a HUGE fan of super girly and feminine spaces. Maybe it's because I simply don't have the option for it in my own home being surrounded by boys but when I see a girly space I fall a little head over heels. Flowers, pink and swirls, oh my!! The options are endless! and what I love even more is that wallpaper from Anthropologie. Isn't it pretty? I think it would look so stunning as an accent wall behind the crib. Gahh!!!

1. Chandelier 2. Wallpaper 3. Mongolian Toss Cusion 4. Rosa Toss Cushion 5. Coat of Arms Mirror 6. Nose to Nose 8x10 print 7. Circle Letter Wall Decal 8. Madison Crib 9. Accent Chair 10. Table Lamp 11. Bubble Ceramic Side Table

Modern Americano Baby Boy Room

Ok I have to be honest...  My son Mattias is 4 and I finally decorated his room only about 5 months ago for the first time. I know.. it's shameful.. I wanted to be like most moms and have everything ready for when he was born but I just had so many excuses to not decorate it.. First, I wanted to see what we were having. Boy or Girl? Then, all our money went towards diapers, diapers and more diapers.. lastly, I quickly noticed that I gave birth to the busiest, most curious boy to ever walk the face of the earth. Have you ever seen the movie "Marley and Me"?? well that about sums up Mattias. Sweet and loveable and the cutest thing I ever layed eyes on but boy did that boy get into everything. I'm talking tear the closet apart, mattress on the floor, blinds off the window busy.. All this to say that I wasn't too excited to put the money out to create a cute space for him to dismantle in the course of 5 minutes.. So, we boarded up the windows and put a mattress on the floor..  great mama right?

Well, the time has finally come where I decided to decorate a room for both my boys.. Re-painted, new beds, new bedding, wall decals and floating shelves. The not-so-funny part? It took all of two days till one of the shelves was ripped off the wall. Nice! I have yet to fill those holes and paint again.. What's the use?

I thought this is a pretty cute idea for a baby boy room. Don't you think? Maybe I'll use some of these ideas if I ever have another (calmer) baby boy.

1. Light Fixture 2. Deer Head 3. Crib 4. Stud Pillow 5. Floor Rug 6. Etsy Prints 7. Rocking Chair 8. Airplane Decal 9. Pouf 10. Chevron Stripe Lamp 11. Dresser

The Doily Trend

I love the new doily trend that has made it's way back into homes... and no longer is it just a lace cloth on a table..  you can incorporate this look into your rug or on the wall. So fresh and sophisticated... plus its just pretty darn fun to say the word "doily".. wouldn't you agree?
