Mix & Match Wall Art

When I started to give the inside of my townhouse a bit of a face-lift I had one area that always bugged me. It was sort of dead space between my living room and kitchen. There was no purpose for it and I didn't know what to do with this long blank wall. My friend Stephanie kindly suggested I do a mix/match of frames, pictures and art. I was sold. I headed down to Homesense at the first chance I got and purchased a dozen frames and filled them with all sorts of goodness. Not only did it add so much to the wall but it brought together all the light colored wood in the kitchen, the big black tv, the white accessories and it all somehow made sense. Now, it's one of my favorite places in my home because it represents us. I love switching pictures up and adding different colors. Even though the layout and frames stay the same it always stays current with what we like inside the frames.

Can we just stop and take a look at some amazing examples of wall art? I love them all!

P.S. Have you entered for your chance to win our Cocoa & Hearts giveaway? only a few days left!!! AND it would be the perfect addition to your wall of art :)

This about sums up Vancouver.

Can I rant for a minute? or two?.. Up until now I have tried to keep my mouth shut about the weather... I may not have been the best at it but doggonit I've tried..  and I'm tired of getting my Vitamin D in the form of a pill. I love the sun and am so jealous happy for those of you that get to experience it on a daily basis. I personally could live in it all year round. Which is why I LOVE summers in Vancouver.. until this year. Anyway, I came across another genius invention. Meet the cup holder umbrella designed by Jung-Woo Lee for Ek Design. What says Vancouver better then a starbucks and an umbrella. Right?

I'd say this is a pretty wise investment for us Vancouverites, wouldn't you?  Cheers to a sunny weather.
